The hubble Space Telescope was designed to provide clear and deep views of distant galaxies and stars and most of the planets in our system. Hubble's domain, extends from the ultraviolet, through the visible and to the near-infrared.
The Hubble Space Telescope was launched on April 24. 1990 and still in space today. Because of the Hubble Space Telescope, we know that the Universe is 3,4 billion years old. And, the Hubble is marked the most significant telescope since the Gallillea's telescope and was the first major optical telescope to be placed in space.
The Hubble Space Telescope, weighs 24,500 pounds ( 11 100kg) and its primary mirror is 2,4 meters across, while the whole telescope being 13,3 meters long.
